I saw the signs in my daughter after a very traumatic birth. She tried telling her doctor but was ignored and told she would eventually get more sleep. Even made snide comment that some mother's have the need to attention seek once child is born and attention is on baby. I was livid. My son-in-law left for extended deployment after the birth so I was taking no chances. I moved in and supported her in everyway I thought would possibly help and continued once he returned. She too cried all the time. I truly feel she would not have made it through and still be here had the family not jumped in to help. That was 10 yrs ago and she barely has any memories of the first 18-24 months of my granddaughter's life. Our healthcare system has let down so many new mom's.

I had postpartum after my daughter, requested help at my 6 week checkup and the doctor told me that it’s too far past the birth (at 6 weeks) for me to be feeling depressed. I was totally ignored, my husband at the time was also at the appointment. I received no help from my doctor or my husband. It took me years before I got back to my normal self. The healthcare system is broken especially for women.

The amount of woman on woman crime in this trial is wild 😳 And yes He did it !! I think most of us could write a book and should of gotten help and didn't 😞

During this trial, I can’t help but thinking about Andrea Yates from Texas and how good mental care could have possibly prevented those kids death. The husband kept wanting to have more kids and she had postpartum depression from several of the births plus lived on a converted school bus. She’s in jail and he’s remarried! I feel husbands should be punished also if they are ignoring the problem.

“…… but it was my tears” oh mama!! My therapist saved my life. Worked to get me into a in-patient program and if it wasn’t for her and the program, I wouldn’t be here either. I’m happy you’re still here 💕

I have the upmost confidence in her lawyer Kevin Reddington. I feel he has already shown more than enough reasonable doubt for her to be acquitted. The evidence doesn’t provide clarity, it brings up 10 more questions. I think this case will change maternal healthcare moving forward. Women all over the world have been activated by this trial and we’ve almost all come to the same conclusion. Change is coming.

I had all the postpartums my baby was laying on the floor crying and I was paralyzed I just was looking at him I knew something wasn’t right I went for my 6 week appointment told my dr and she said “it’s too far after the baby for that” she handed me a pamphlet. I went to my car and sobbed I was asking for help and the person that was supposed to help blew me off. I text my postpartum nurse that I became friends with. She saved me. She sent me to a dr that would help me. I thank all things my nurse listened to

My OB addressed postpartum concerns from near the beginning of my pregnancy. He knew because of my career and work I would struggle. He was so right and I am thankful for him everyday. He had me come in every 2 weeks postpartum to check on me. He talked a lot with my husband about what to look for. They were both there the times I needed it and got me to the correct providers. I was lucky.
