Spokane local here, it’s def out the way your alg has been built up. I’ve even had family across the world tell me their fyp is a lot about the fires. We actually got so many donations that some places have run into storage issues 😅 people are def showing up for the Spokane fires like they did for palisade 💞

Yeah this event and when WA was being devastated by floods back in December showed me that nobody gives af about us, but at least we have eachother. Our community showed out and still is 💜

Those fires are devastating. However, Spokane has not done a good job at mitigating those risks that happen every summer. There was over $2M raised quickly just for the people of those lost houses. Meanwhile, money is not raised to help the homeless. Make that make sense. It’s hard to look at a city with a legit problem and then see how the city does things otherwise. Not to mention, Spokane is not a place people have in their mind because it’s not Seattle. Either way, people need help and the city can do more
