An open ground is not going to shock you. The only reason a ground wire is ever going to shock you is if it’s shorted to hot. The ground wire is a non current carrying conductor. If there truly was an issue now that you landed the ground on the terminal the breaker would’ve tripped immediately after you turned it back on.
