@cgtnamerica: Flights at Italy's Catania Airport were suspended again on Wednesday, Aug.12, as fresh volcanic ash from Mount Etna in Sicily forced authorities to reinstate airspace restrictions across the region. The ash cloud has also reached Malta, causing cancellations and significant delays as it drifted south across the Mediterranean. Mount Etna is Europe’s highest and most active volcano. It has repeatedly caused disruptions at Catania Airport, which serves as Sicily’s main gateway and is Italy’s fifth-busiest airport.
