@magrizamademecook: Excited to share that we’re exhibiting at the Reframing the Zulu Collection exhibition at the Powell-Cotton Museum! This powerful reinterpretation showcases artifacts collected during the Powell-Cotton family’s 1935 visit to Zululand, while honouring the shared histories and distinct identities of neighbouring Zimbabwean communities. Our featured film dives into the cultural importance of the Umthiya/Isigqiki (headrest) and Ithunga (milk pail). Deepest appreciation to the team at Powell-Cotton Museum and our family at the Amagugu International Heritage Centre for giving us the opportunity to document and share this vital story.
