I live in Baltimore, it impacted so many ppl. ppl left their jobs because the commute without the bridge was too much. ppl lost jobs bc of it, the families of the victims are still grieving.

MD resident here - The situation on the bridge replacment ain’t looking too bright😭The timeline was originally 2028😭✌🏾and that 2030 deadline will not be met, the state originally had Kiewit as the contractor but then released them due to them asking for alot of money that would put them overbudget, now they’re putting out applications for other contractors to bid and we probably won’t get one selected until 2027, and there ain’t no way in HELL that bridge will be replaced and opened in 2030😭✌🏾part of the original bridge is still up😭😭😭😭😭😭😭America can’t BUILD SHIT if it isn’t roads or a data center

That bridge is on my mind a lot. We're already very bad at fixing problems, and we're accruing new problems faster and faster with each passing year, leaving fewer and fewer resources for each one. There comes a point where they have to say "fuck it, that one isn't getting fixed, help isn't coming," and that point is moving faster and faster
