Probably because exercise releases histamine in the body so that’s double histamine with the shellfish lol

I have that exact same issue. Basically it’s a mast cell response.

Me!!! I can eat dairy and workout separately. When I mix the two together: full blown anaphylaxis. I’ve cut dairy entirely out of my diet because of not wanting to risk it. Happened too many times

we're currentky doing oral therapy for my young childs peanut allergy. we're not allowed to have him do any "excerise" activities or hot / too warm after... it can cause issues

I’m not supposed to exercise right after getting allergy shots. I might believe the nurse now.

Has it happened more than once? Improperly stored seafood can also cause a histamine reaction which could mimic a severe allergy

Milk protein! I have to sit around calmly or everything starts itching (and the stomach ache is WAY worse). I’m too scared to try it with shellfish 😱

Histamine issue!! Exercise releases histamine as well as various foods being high in histamine! A combination pushes you over the limit of how much histamine your body will tolerate! You may have a Mast Cell issue like MCAS!

yeah it’s because both release histimines and if you have a histimine intolerance, you’ll react more. same happens to me, i have mcas and docs prescribed meds for this so i don’t have severe anaphylaxis

It’s because of combined inflammation.

I used to be allergic to a specific hockey rink as a kid and ended up with an inhaler bc they didn’t believe that only that rink was hard to breathe in somehow

Stop eating shellfish that reaction is slowly growing in your body and could suddenly be a full anaphylaxis with little warning it’s starting. And also look up crossover allergies just to be aware

Mine is orange juice!!! It’s crazy weird. I was scared of OJ for so long because I didn’t make the exercise connection. Normally I’m only allergic to vinegar.

Wait I can eat shellfish most of the time but if I get really really hot like eat the shellfish on a patio in the summer or walk around in the heat after my eyes and lips swell up
