She had been secured so tightly she could barely lie down, left with only a small umbrella for shade and no water to survive the scorching temperatures. By the time someone stopped to help, Wilma was limp, dehydrated, and barely responsive after hours of suffering alone. Wilma is now in rescue care, receiving emergency veterinary treatment as the team works to stabilize her and help her finally feel safe. But her medical bills are already rising, and she is not the only abandoned dog currently in their care. The rescue is beyond capacity, fosters are full, and the need continues to grow.
