I'll never take my rides to a mechanic ever. I've been able to diagnose, address, and repair every problem I've had using message boards and YouTube. I've even replaced and swapped diesel fuel pumps with zero experience. I've swapped fuel injection onto old landcruisers. it's all with youtube and message boards.

I drove an f150 into my bay and when I took off the valve cover pulled the chain out like that before. 4 cylinder mode 😂

thats a at least a 12 year old truck so it would be worth putting a new motor and trans way cheaper than buying a new one

Definitely a cloyes timing set I bet and that chain failed prematurely. Wasn’t a workmanship issue I can bet

I have seen aftermarket chains break and destroy an engine. I turn down those jobs too much risk. I have a shop and others I know have shops. I refer those jobs to them.

That wasn’t his friends fault. I’ve seen this a couple of times with that chain snapping. Quality parts are hard to find
