And this is why so many teenagers are "rebellious" and angsty. Because that's the age where you find out that a lot of society is based on unfair bullshit and adults gaslight you into thinking that it's normal when your very human nature is telling you it's wrong and unfair.

This argument is a flawed scientific leap. Observing how children act in a lab does not mean global economies should work the same way. The experiment uses an artificial setup where resources are free. In the real world, inequality is tied to hard work, risk, and talent, which motivate people to innovate. Furthermore, because the 3-to-5-year-olds did not choose equality, the study actually proves that fairness is a learned social habit, not an innate human instinct.

My dad used to tell this story about him and his 2 brothers shoveling snow. They sent the youngest brother to collect the money at the end of the job. He gave her back a quarter bc there were only 3 of them so they only needed 3. They beat him up afterwards. My dad taught me empathy and fairness was everything even tho he didn't alway know better. Kids listen to us better than we would like imo.

All good and well when they didn’t have to do anything for it. Let them work for their rewards and see if they’re still willing to equally share with the ones that didn’t? You will find that the outcomes will be vastly different. It’s a fairness thing!! 👍👍👍
