There isn't the same amount of executive capacity available for multitasking, social demands, conflict, planning, and decision-making Blood volume, cardiac output, and heart rate are all increased Hormonal and autonomic changes around birth can come out as fatigue, withdrawal, disrupted sleep, gastrointestinal changes, restlessness, and alternating periods of energy and exhaustion.
