My school had a separate car rider line for kids with medical needs like transferring to wheelchair. Kids who had special car seats or seat belts to support them or to prevent eloping also went through that line.

Dear other parents: please act like this is not your first time out in public. Please pay attention to what is happening around you and follow everyone else’s cues. You are not the only smart person who got into a second lane of the car line. You are not the only person who also needs to get to work. You are not the only person who also loves their children and might be having a hard time dropping them off. You and/or your child I’m not the most special thing happening in the car line.

I would also add that parents should not pull up to the car line with your car smelling of skunk weed. It’s a little offputting at 7:30 AM.
