i think they’re were really great episodes but the climax just felt kinda hamfisted for me, like last season all of the episodes at least felt kind of connected while a bunch of stuff just kinda happens in this season and it ends in a what if final battle.

Idk for me I feel like them being in the past and future should’ve been longer and Wolverine still having his bone claws for a little longer instead of like 2 episodes then he instantly gets the adamantium again

Idk if this is a writing thing because this was a good story. It just felt like ALOTTT for one season. It was hard to have a real emotional attachment outside of Magneto.

I think Season2 had great spectical moments in a show I just didn't feel earned and as much as I do like the season they tried way to hard forcing Apocalypse as the main villian of the series even though about half way he wasn't in it but all and all I give a the season an 8/10 really good start just ending could have been better

There are great individual moments but overall it just seemed like they rushed through EVERYTHING. Also it really seemed like the animation at times was not up to par with the previous season.

It’s definitely weird with the pacing you can tell that they wanted to be like an original like a 90s animated series but the reason why it feels different because the creators and the writers in the new show runners in Marvel did not want to like ruin the creativity so they wanted to get the writers their own voice and not have any pitches or something like that at all. Also, when it came Beau DeMayo that never happened he mostly took credit and didn’t give the other writers a voice while it’s not as good as season 1 it’s a good second season so I give it a 8 out of ten. by the way the reason why season 2 and prolly season 3 are so grounded it’s because marvel is tryna save storylines for future seasons so they don’t run out of arcs

I don’t think the X-Men 97’ team wanted to do the Apocalypse storyline because it was that writer and producer, that Marvel fired, idea but since they already had 4 episodes done, probably were forced to finish the story. That could be the reason why new characters were introduced, and given their own episodes
