my $800 pontiac grand prix dont give a fuck, genuinely I've been trying to kill the car so I have a excuse to get a new one but she won't die, I've never changed the oil just top it off bc it leaks, the coolant has been water since March bc it has a leak (which I've fixed new radiator water pump and hosing just for it to spring another so water it is) its supercharged your supposed to run premium in a 3.8 even without the supercharger never have never had a issue, cars sitting at 285k rn had it for 2 year got it around 250k and I've maybe put 1k into parts over those 2 years most expensive being the radiator I mention earlier, basically my point is get a 3800 the fuckers cant be killed

Water pumps can be way more than that lol. I got quoted $3800 to replace water pump in F150 because it’s an internal water pump

Also water has a much lower boiling point than coolant

Have you talked on whether or not that "fuel saving" function is good or not? The one that auto stops the engine when you're waiting at a light or something.

Please do a video on rear differential fluid. I have mechanics say that it’s not needed and then some places say that it is.

Yup that’s what happened to me. The previous owner filled the radiator with water and now I’m replacing the water pump. And the thermostat

I was quoted $4000 to replace the water pump in my ‘18 ford explorer…it’s an internal pump so basically they have to tear half the engine apart to do the repair…I hate that vehicle and I’ll never buy Ford again because of it.

way it was explained to me at alfred was the straight coolant has a lower freeze point but also a lower boiling point. water has higher freeze point but higher boiling point. combined gives the best solution for boiling and freezing. interesting to hear the additive side of it all

I remember when my hoses broke and sprayed coolant literally all over the ground below my car. Water is NOT gonna get you far (at least it didn't in my case 💀)

Doing it right the first time and spending a bit of money typically saves you from having to spend a boatload later on

I put water in instead of coolant for a temporary fix. I forgot I put water in until it was December and the entire thing froze. I had a lot of fun that day.
