this why i cant take john watts haters seriously, he was clearly telling a story with his swinging

He always had good swings, it's just the CGI, camera movement and angles that changed. I can't stress on ts enough, it's the camera movement that made TASM2 look so seamless, more than the CGI

The biggest problem people have with Watt’s swinging is that the camera stays stationary, we’re always just watching Peter swing by instead of with him

I remember seeing his jittery and abrupt swinging in Homecoming and thinking “If he gets more graceful and smooth through the movies i’ll love that” Here we are

I LOVE how he flails less when he’s more experienced. There must be a rhythm and a flow he has to swing in order to gain momentum more effectively. Doing tricks probably helped him learn that “oh, some of these are HELPFUL mid-air!” versus flailing wildly because he’s trying to be still to focus. Not to mention the evolution of his spidey senses in FFH. Awesome details all around.

It’s the perfect way to do it. People want cool swinging scenes from a kid who just started

Never understood how people hated this when the literal point of the high school trilogy was to show his growth and progression from inexperienced kid to full fledged seasoned Superherlo

Those who dogged on Watts for his swinging missed the message behind it. We’re seeing a young kid who’s learning how to gain more confidence in himself, more control over his abilities, and more experience as a superhero in the making. This kid was literally scared of heights in Homecoming. Now, he’s going to space and swinging higher than skyscrapers. That’s what I loved about Watts’ trilogy. It was a slow burn of this young kid becoming the hero he was meant to be. And as of Brand New Day, thanks to DDC, he’s finally there. ❤️💙🕷️🕸️

God seeing his development was actually so nice. He went from swinging through small towns, having a fear of height to jumping down from sky scrapers and swinging like Andrew

Never understood Watts haters, they were literally replicating iron man story with him upgrading his tech with each movie and Peter getting better at being spider man
