@flrealestate386: STANDING IN THE TRUTH: WHAT'S REALLY HAPPENING AT THE CABLE LANDING STATION/ DATA CENTER SITE IN TOWN CENTER The first building is officially going vertical at the DC BLOX site in Palm Coast's Town Center. There's been a mountain of controversy and misinformation on this one, so I'm going to call it like I see it. I'm not coming for the city. I'm not coming for the developer. But I am going to stand in the truth, because I love this community. I was born and raised in this area, and I've called this place home for well over thirty years. WHY THERE WAS NEVER A PUBLIC VOTE Here's the piece most folks don't understand. In Palm Coast, a project under 40,000 square feet can be approved administratively, quietly, by staff, with no public hearing and no Planning Board vote. Once you cross that 40,000 mark, the public gets a seat at the table. The approved building came in at 33,760 square feet. Just under that line. FlaglerLive's reporting states the developer scaled the building below 40,000 square feet to bypass public planning board review, and that the project stayed hidden for two years under a state confidentiality law, with the blessing of both the city and the county. So let's be honest. The city knew what was happening. When they now act like this was a surprise and try to point the finger, I'll be right here to hold them accountable. That's not me attacking anybody. That's me standing on the public record. WHY THIS MATTERS RIGHT NOW This isn't happening in a vacuum. All across the country, and right here in Florida, new studies and reports are dropping constantly, and county after county is passing moratoriums to hit pause on data centers. Over a dozen Florida counties have already adopted or advanced them. In fact, our own Flagler County Commission unanimously approved a one-year data center moratorium on August 3rd. The concerns are real, and they're being taken seriously everywhere. Our community deserves that same honest conversation, out in the open. WHAT IT ACTUALLY IS I didn't want to guess or repeat rumors, so I used Google's own AI to dissect the property, the site plans, and the filings, and break down what this really is. Here's the hones
