@steeledebateshow: Another MASSIVE Data Centre Approved Near Heathrow ‼️ West London has just approved another massive data centre — and this one is only around 400 metres from Heathrow Airport. Hounslow Council has backed plans for up to 50,000 square metres of data-centre space on the Heathrow Estate in Cranford. The development has been offered an 80 MVA electricity connection, which is a seriously large amount of power. And that matters because parts of West London have already faced electricity-capacity problems that previously delayed new housing developments. We don’t yet know exactly how much water this particular data centre will need, but elsewhere some proposed UK data centres have requested as much as 3 million litres every single day. #datacentre #hounslow #westlondon
