Spa day for my Bambu Lab P2S - here's exactly how to maintain it in under 1 minute! Skipping maintenance is how you get layer shift, grinding noises, and failed prints. Feel free to follow along or read through the full P2S lubrication breakdown: ↕️Z-Axis Lead Screws + Guide Rails: Home the printer first and lower the build plate to its lowest point. Clean the Z-axis lead screws and guide rails with an alcohol cloth - grease goes on all three lead screws, oil goes on the left and right guide rails. Lubricate the Z-axis bearings at the bottom of all three lead screws, then move the build plate up and down to distribute everything evenly. ↔️Y and X-Axis Shafts: Clean both upper and lower shafts with an alcohol-dampened non-woven cloth. Apply lubricating oil along the shafts, then manually move the toolhead back and forth 3-5 times to spread it evenly. Wipe off any excess so dust doesn't stick. ❗️DO NOT LUBRICATE CARBON FIBER RODS IF YOU HAVE A P1S.❗️ ⚠️Critical: Grease is for lead screws and belt pulleys. Oil is for linear rods and rails. Do not mix them up. After every maintenance session: run a full calibration from the screen (Motor Noise Cancellation + Vibration Compensation + Auto Bed Leveling). 📅How often? Heavy use (5+ hrs/day): XY-axis monthly, Z-axis every 3 months. Regular use (1-5 hrs/day): XY every 2 months, Z every 4 months. Light use (under 1 hr/day): XY every 3 months, Z every 5 months. Recommended lubricants: Lucas Oil 10533 White Lithium Grease or Super Lube 92003 for screws. Bambu Lab oil or genuine WD-40 Multi-Use (original only) for rods. #3dprinting #bambulab #3dprint #tools #technology
