Ok Giovanni did not abandon silver the reason people think he did is because of a translation error in event because the event item was only distributed in Japan you can only experience the event in Japanese the actual translation for the scene is that silver runs away from Giovanni after red defeats him because he’s ashamed that his father was beaten by red

actually Giovanni makes sense. often times parents, when they age, choose to be soft to others, rather than their own kids. its kinda why big age gap children (lets say between 25 and 9) are raised SIGNIFICANTLY different, with the younger often having a more seasoned, patient parent. Giovanni is weirdly and unfortunately realistic
