As quantum computing advances, protecting digital assets may require cryptography designed for threats that today’s systems were never built to handle. InterLink is exploring this challenge early through NIST-aligned post-quantum cryptography research. The focus includes new-key generation, wallet migration through Address Alias, and experimental use of SLH-DSA-SHA2-128s (FIPS 205) for stronger protection of high-value assets. These experiments are being tested on the InterLink Taj Mahal Testnet, with the long-term goal of bringing the architecture toward the Open Mainnet in 2027.
