It should be noted very clearly that he wasn't attacked while simply swimming in the ocean. He pulled the shark into the boat and it naturally freaked out, while thrashing around he was bitten. No need to villainise a shark that did nothing wrong

If he went with intentions of fishing for fish and wasn’t aware of there being sharks then this happened, then u could call it a bad accident but if he really had goals of catching a shark like he’s saying then that’s honestly the most stupid and cruel thing to do. I don’t know what’s cool about catching a shark and it was obviously going to attack most especially for defense so don’t know what’s he expected. That’s a nasty injury but at the same time he’s v lucky cuz it easily could have been ten times worst and surprised this was allowed to be posted. It’s like he wanted this injury and took the risk or thought sharks don’t deserve peace but anyways wish him a speedy recovery and it’s a lesson to learn.

You people understand you have no control over what takes the bait and gets hooked yeah? And the only way to catch & release is to reel it on and unhook it? Just making sure we’re all clear for everyone saying it’s illegal or that he was ‘tormenting’ the shark.

Why didn’t the news when it broke state what actually happened as if the shark had leaped on board like Jaws..ridiculous he caught it and brought it on board so it’s his own fault
