Starting at 80mg is crazy work. I have hereditary high cholesterol. No amount of exercise or diet helps. I do workout and eat good though. Been on a 20mg statin for 20 years. I do believe doctors push medication on people though.

I will never take cholesterol medication. I watched my dad go through 1 right after another because it either made his hands swell or some other side effect then l he ended up with liver cancer.

I would avoid all statins my dad has dementia he has a shunt in his brain now to prolong his life and hopefully cure this type he has but he he can't yake statins due to tjeu cause dementia and make dementia symptoms worse if you can make you cholesterol lower by dieting or haven't had to take it before dont take it thays what his cardiologist said to me and him most dr get kick backs for prescribing these drugs

Lovestatin causes severe muscle aches and is supposed to be taken at night time bc it does cause drowsiness. I stopped taking it in 2011 from the pain. Everytime they do my labs every 3 months they say everything looks good. 🤔 Same thing with them putting me on thyroid med. It was dropping my BP too low and caused me to feel like shit. I stopped taking it and mysteriously my labs keep showing it's normal range even though I've not taken it in years. Look you you know your body. Just continue doing what u been doing. You staying busy and doing what you love is the best medicine you can give yourself man!

you're statin intolerant like me. they switched me to a cholesterol pill that isn't a statin. I still have pain and fatigue, just not as bad.
