Proverbs 11 says give freely and become more wealthy, be stingy and lose everything. And giving is only half of it. Receiving is the other half. The whole Christian faith is built on receiving something you did not earn. People who receive well are usually the same people who give well, and they're usually the ones making the most. Two. The patient. Proverbs 28 says greedy people try to get rich quick and don't realize they're headed for poverty. Greed pushes you into decisions you wouldn't normally make, at a speed you wouldn't normally make them. It destroys your patience, and your patience is what your good decisions are made out of. But patience isn't the whole picture. Sometimes God tells you to move fast. Boaz redeemed Ruth and married her inside a day, which by anybody's standard is a hasty decision, and it was the right one. I learned that the hard way. Three. The one who speaks life. Proverbs 18 says the tongue can bring death or life. And this is the part most people miss. Speaking positive is not the same as speaking God. Something can sound encouraging and still be the opposite of what He actually said. Speaking life means speaking what He already spoke over you.
