Pop some tin foil or baking paper up there! That way, when it gets dusty and greasy you can just throw away and replace - no need for more scrubbing!

I put old calendars or other scrap paper on top of the cabinet; it makes cleaning much easier. When it’s time to clean, I just throw away the dirty sheets, wipe the surface down, and put out "new" old calendar pages ☺️
