the DA's office speculated that reddington sent the doctor to instruct Lindsey to call patrick and say that she was hearing voices, thus giving them a foundation for an insanity defense. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. the doctor did not instruct Lindsey to tell patrick she was hearing voices. reddington brought it up during questioning today to debunk this theory before the prosecution could bring it up themselves.

If this case proves she is not guilty by reason of insanity at the end of this trial, is there a possibility they open a new case if there is evidence to support that she did not in fact unalive her children? I know that this trial is not proving that but all the questions behind the Apple Watch and the email were mentioned but not fully addressed..and I would think if he’s bringing it up it is for a reason! Help a girl out 😂

Oh my gosh you are the ONLY creator that’s getting this right - that doctor did NOT tell her to say those things bc it is a THEORY that the prosecution ran w simply bc they didn’t believe that she was hearing voices bc Patrick the star said she never told him that before n that she was trying to claim mental insanity. Sm ppl r getting this wrong 😭

Reddington is brilliant at his job. I mean, even IF he sent that doctor in to her room to have her make that call to set up a defense…and I don’t think that’s what happened..but IF it was… the fact that he was able to turn their “theory” from something that they were going to use against her into something that makes them look like they are lying to get a conviction….chefs kiss 🤌🏻🤌🏻💋💋

None of the medical providers have testified to observing any symptoms of psychosis in her though, prior to the murders. Tufts even saw her on the day of and saw nothing, heard nothing concerning from her. That’s the weakness of Lindsay’s case, imo.

Basically they tried to make both Reddington and Lindsay look bad by saying she was coerced into pleading insanity. But Red proved that it was a baseless rumor they were “investigating” without any evidence.
