@litemindedtherapy: Relational hypervigilance makes you conclude faster. Let me explain 👇🏻 Noticing is being able to register that something feels different without immediately deciding what it means. Someone is quieter, texting less, or their tone feels off .. and you can let that be information without turning it into proof. Maybe something is wrong. Maybe they’re distracted, tired, stressed, or in their own head. You stay open long enough to gather more information instead of letting one small shift tell you the whole story. With relational hypervigilance, that space between noticing and interpreting gets much smaller. “They seem quiet” quickly becomes “they’re upset with me.” “They texted less” becomes “they’re pulling away.” And once you’ve landed on that conclusion, you may start scanning for more evidence to confirm it. The work isn’t becoming less perceptive. It’s learning to notice what’s happening without treating your first fear about it as fact. If this is something you’re struggling with, we are accepting new clients! k, love this, even though i feel called out 😅 question: how to reconcile this with being attuned to our friends/partners needs? because often times they would be going through something but the don't communicate it (embarrassed, don't know how to ask for help, in their heads, etc). I think a good friend picks up on these shifts and shows up for them. Am i right, or am i just justifying it for myself 😅?
