@itssuadid: Ibn al-Qayyim "رحمه الله" : said It is well known that a rational living being would not choose to love what harms and miseries him; rather, this only stems from ignorance and injustice. For the soul may desire what harms it and does not benefit it, and that is part of man’s injustice to himself.
