Mmm I disagree I rlly do think Rogues determination to sacrifice herself nd Nightcrawlers own sacrifice was genuinely still well written nd hits hard. Both characters are interpretations of different kind of love and the lengths u would go for each and I rlly think that’s what the whole season was about, hence I think the sacrifices or lack thereof, create a rlly good finale or at least sumthing good in an “okay” finale

100% agree, nightcrawler’s sacrifice was a silly decision & undercuts the weight of Rogue’s sacrifice …. UNLESS they are setting up an arch that centers him & shows that his hope that life would be born out of his sacrifice is far from the truth & the celestials are the villains… i started to appreciate this season more when i realized the focus is on world building & the season could serve as the transition to the very emotionally nuanced & action packed seasons we are craving … BUT ONLY TIME WILL TELL

I disagree, because Kurt sacrificing himself for Rouge makes sense due to the fact that they are siblings. Kurt wanting his sister to find love and live her life is a great payoff from Season 1. as for them rushing his funeral and the way they gloss over how everyone feels about Kurt dying is the part that upsets me.

I’m so confused on why they had Cable’s whole destiny just not happen. Idk I feel like their rivalry was so built up and the parallels from the first three episodes ended up meaning nothing at all. Rogue and Gambit got really shoved in eps 8-9.
