push pull legs does not require a barbell. every version online uses one because the people writing them already lift, not because the split needs it. here it is on machines. push day is two presses, a fly and a pushdown. pull day is a pulldown, a chest-supported row, rear delts and curls. leg day is a press, an extension, a curl and calves. everything is a seat and nothing needs a spotter. the chest-supported row is the pick i would defend hardest. a bent-over row loads your lower back before it loads your back muscles, and for a heavier beginner that is the first thing to go. lying chest-down on the pad removes that entirely and you can just pull. run it three days a week to start. six days is the classic version and it is a great way to burn out in month two — earn the second rotation before you take it. last slide is all three days on one screenshot. Here is the whole 3-day plan written out, so you do not have to swipe back and forth in the gym: Push — Day 💪 Chest press, shoulder press, pec deck + rope pushdown. Pull — Day 🦾 Lat pulldown, chest supported row, rear delt fly + curl machine. Legs — Day 🦵 Leg press, leg extension, seated leg curl + calf raise. Same 3 days every week. Add reps before you add weight. Leave 2 reps in the tank. Miss a day, skip it — do not stack it. Week 1 is not for progress. It is for learning the seat settings. Save this so you know exactly what to do on your next session — and send it to the mate who keeps saying he'll start Monday. 🫶 three days or six? be honest. #mensfitness #machineworkout #gymbeginner #pushpulllegs #beginnerlifter
