@alaskandippedinaloha: These are the words I wrote over this video one year ago today — August 12, 2025. I’m placing them here so they can be read without the video moving. I haven’t rewritten them. They belong to the woman who was living them. #onthisday 🌺 🌺 I’m in a slow simmering process of change. I announced my life to Christ in 1995. My life has been filled with sin, sins of my forefathers revisiting, choice of church, choice of husband, choice of what’s happening inside the home life, choice of neglecting my personal wounds, personal traumas as a young child, as an adolescent, as a young adult, as a young mom, as a well educated mom, the demons came, filled the walls of the house, left to hide in the cracks of the trim work I made, hiding in the crevices of the trusses I put up, laying on the asphalt, I watched it lay down a pathway for soaking into the shoes of my children, I hid in my work, trying to believe I was available for the household I help create, death and life were at my front door daily, sometimes for days on end, months long.. I couldn’t escape my mind, my heart grieving for all that was lost, for all that I knew could never be again. I grieved my childhood. I grieved my adulthood. I grieved my love for life. I grieved for my children silently .. I hid hoping I could contain it all and be the protector.. instead it seeped out of my pours, onto the floors my babies crawled on, onto the counter tops we baked on, onto the walls they leaned on.. I was a mere vessel of just being.. I lost hope, I lost a self I didn’t even know, I lost the very thing I thought I was protecting.. myself and my children. Yet JESUS! He is ALWAYS present even when you have your back against His!! I thank my heavenly father for always loving me, RIGHT WHERE I AM! 🌺April Mudrick
