YUP. Even if someone is guilty, they still deserve representation, due process, and the guarantee that their constitutional rights are being protected. Being accused, or even convicted, doesn’t mean you forfeit your basic rights.

the goal of a lawyer, from what i've learned, isn't to convince the court that the client should go free. it's to challenge the court to accurately and thoroughly inspect the case, respecting the defendant's basic rights. if the person IS guilty, and the judges do their job properly, they will be found guilty and convicted regardless. that's the goal, not to let people walk free every single time.

people pmo when they get mad at lawyers for representing people who may be guilty. everyone has a right to a fair trial, if you can't do that, you shouldn't be a lawyer. it's no different than medical doctors having an oath to treat everyone, even if they are the worst person on planet earth.

We learn it’s not even about guilty it’s literally can anyone prove this person did it beyond a reasonable doubt. So even if they did, if prosecution can’t prove it, that’s not our fault
