Studying Arabic, tafsir or hadith can obviously be useful, but the Qur’an never says you must surrender your religious judgment to people simply because they studied Islam. It repeatedly tells everyone to reflect: “Do they not reflect upon the Qur’an?” (4:82) and “This is a blessed Book which We have sent down to you so that they may reflect upon its verses” (38:29). And look at the Prophet himself: Allah describes him as “unlettered” (7:157-158) and says, “You did not read any scripture before it, nor did you write it with your right hand” (29:48), yet Allah taught him through revelation. So human scholarly credentials are clearly not a prerequisite for receiving or understanding divine guidance. Yes, learn from knowledgeable people, but knowledge does not make someone infallible or give them authority to legislate alongside Allah. The Qur’an warns against blindly following religious authorities (9:31) and says, “Do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge” (17:36). Learn from people, but don't turn people into intermediaries between yourself and Allah. Ultimately, each of us will answer to Allah for what we chose to follow and nobody will save us on that day.

But we can’t deny that most Hadiths aren’t authentic. They put nowadays Hadith on the same level as Quran wich is insane

Salam, one of the BEST ahadith of the Messenger pbuh is when he said "who should I seek as a judge other than Allah when He is the One who revealed to you the Book detailed". This hadith is in [6:114] of the Quran, & yes it's a hadith of the Messenger, cause Allah SWT says in [69:40] that the Quran is the speech of the noble Messenger. Since the Quran is the Messenger's speech & obeying his speech is obeying him, then accepting the Quran is the fundamental way to "obey the Messenger" which is how one would obey Allah SWT [4:80]. - In [6:114] the Messenger is saying that Allah SWT's rulings for today are all clear in the Quran, this is confirmed by [16:89] where Allah SWT tells the Prophet pbuh "We sent down to you the Book as a clarification for all things". The Quran is a Book of guidance[2:2] so [16:89] is saying all guidance, including all necessary rulings to attain Jannah (in'shaa'Allah) are clear in the Quran, & that the Quran has no partner in clarifying rulings. - What is noteworthy is the fact that the Quran makes zero conclusive mention directly/indirectly of extra-Quranic divine rulings. If this concept is so fundamental yet not even mentioned once in the Quran, is it even part of Islam? The Quran forbids anyone from making halal/haram rulings[16:116, 42:21, 2:213, 7:203], & commands ppl not to follow unverified info[17:36, 10:36, 9:31, 33:67]. To assume verses like [16:44] allow for extra Quranic rulings is false, [38:1] says that Al-Dhikr in[16:44] is in the Quran so [16:44] would read "We sent down to you Al-Dhikr [in the Quran] to make clear to the people [the Book] that was sent down to them". - What does this mean? This means that the claim that a hadith is mandatory for Jannah is false making the hadith false/misunderstood. The Quran, needing no chain to prove it's preservation, was sent for guidance & is capable on it's own of doing so. Can the sunnah/tafsir provide value tho? Yes they can however one would be wrong to assume all sahih-labeled hadith are true, & should judge hadith individually thru the Quran [25:1]. "These are Allah's ayat We recite to you in truth, so in what hadith after Allah & His ayat will they believe" [45:6].. (pt.2)..

Another concern is that some hadith appear to contradict the clear teachings of the Qur'an. A notable example is divorce. The Qur'an provides detailed guidance, emphasizing reconciliation, waiting periods, witnesses, fairness, and opportunities to reconsider before a divorce becomes final. Yet some hadith are understood to validate pronouncing three divorces at once, a practice that appears to conflict with the Qur'anic procedure. An even more serious example concerns the punishment for adultery. The Qur'an explicitly prescribes: «"The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication—flog each of them with one hundred lashes..." (Qur'an 24:2)» Yet some hadith state that certain offenders should be stoned to death. These are fundamentally different punishments. One is the explicit ruling found in Allah's revealed Book; the other is found in reports transmitted through chains of narration and recorded over two centuries after the Prophet ﷺ. If a hadith contradicts the clear wording of the Qur'an, should a Muslim follow the direct revelation of Allah or a later narration attributed to the Prophet? It is often argued that hadith are necessary because the Qur'an does not explain every practical detail, such as the exact manner of performing ṣalāh. Whether one agrees with that argument or not, it does not apply to matters that the Qur'an already explains comprehensively, such as divorce or legal punishments. The central question therefore remains: if Allah promised to preserve the Qur'an but gave no such promise regarding hadith, and if hadith were compiled through human effort centuries later after the rejection of countless reports, why should any narration be allowed to override or contradict the clear and protected revelation of Allah? For those who hold a Quran-centred perspective, the Qur'an remains the only revelation that Allah Himself has guaranteed to preserve, making it the ultimate criterion by which all religious claims should be judged.

Geniunely what’s the point of keeping a weak hadith in if we can’t trust it and don’t follow it anyways? Wouldn’t it just cause confusion? And even fitna? Besides the concern for me is more so the morality of some hadith that is supposed to reflect the character of the Prophet pbuh. Concubines, slaves, Aisha’s age, certain statements about women etc. I have a strong sense of justice and can’t help but feel some type of way about that. Not to mention the weaponization of them against women. I just want the truth 😞

thats my personal opinion ...but why is the umma devided ? because every groups claims to be the right path by focusing on their own sources outside the quran ..the sunni ,the shia ...and i think thats the real issue ...someone even said that the quran is more in need of hadith wich is shocking to me ...i dont say that every single hadith is false but i think real issue started when we started to read the quran throught the lense of the hadiths. I dont think God gave us the holy book for us just shut down our mind ( 3akl ).

Quran 45:6 is Surah Al-Jathiyah (The Crouching) 45:6. It translates to: "These are the revelations of Allah which We recite to you in truth. So in what statement [hadith] after Allah and His revelations will they believe?"

I really struggle to understand the first statement. If one is to reject the hadith as a source of divine guidance, that means they reject all of history? These two things are completely separate matters. All of recorded history can be questioned. As all historical records require a human methodology which relies on the discretion of other human beings. Human beings that were not appointed by God btw. Take even one of the authentication layers that’s being explained, for example, studying the life of one of the narrators. How does one confirm that the recordings of the narrators lives were complete or if details were omitted? How does one confirm that the profile of any narrators does not contain bias? The overwhelming difference between the preservation of the Quran and the Hadith is that the Quran was validated and authenticated by the source - the prophet pbuh. And its preservation was through mass transmission. Not chains of narrations that require rigorous research on specific characteristics of narrators. Mass transmission does not require character profiling. Because if one body of text is mass memorised and transmitted - any inconsistencies in any transmission can be cross examined by all other transmissions. It doesn not matter if any one transmitter was sinless/of good memory/trustworthy. Because the method of preservation prevents any human inconsistencies from taking place. If anyone has the heart to respond and reconcile my thoughts with kindness instead of insult and dismissive rhetoric, I would be very grateful. Peace be upon you.

You are genuinely one of the best creators on here and I don’t say this lightly but with a very critical eye on the landscape of Islamic “preachers” online. I genuinely think that if our generation needs to learn basics about usul ul fiqh/ulum ul hadith etc. it should be from a person with adab like yours. There is a clear difference of perception between you and the standard dawah bro. I myself have learned so much from your lighthouse videos and your series on the diseases of the heart. I have had my fair share of ups and downs with hadith literature and been through a skepticism that like you said is very difficult to contain alone without standardised guidance, although even after formal studies I do hold some opinions that don’t fit the mainstream narrative. May Allah preserve you brother Ryadh. 🤍
