She needs to go to ACAS, her job shouldn’t just say she can’t go back to work because she’s requested to go part-time x

Unless a clause was put in for the deposit being solely hers it will still be split between the two owners not sure if she will be aware of this. This is awful that her work have done that and now this! I hope she can get sorted x

They legally can’t do that, they have to accommodate her or offer a different position! I’ve recently just gone back to work as well and I’m lucky to have adjusted made. Iknow she’s aware of this already and in the process but she needs to appeal what has happened, it’s unacceptable!

She’s legally entitled to submit an application to reduce her hours as she’s had a chance of circumstances. And if the baby is 9 months old+ usually 15-30 free hours of nursery care. I hope it turns around for her! X

She can go down unfair dismissal route, as well as discrimination as she has a child and is having to go part time for her child x

As a HR manager with an employment law degree it’s clearly discrimination, less favourable treatment and she should take them for unfair dismissal, pregnancy and maternity is a protected characteristic, if there are other part timers then this is less favourable treatment. Xx

I’ve been lucky enough to not have to go back to work thanks to my partner (my girl is 14 months)! But why would her employer do this to her, surely there’s rules about coming off maternity and been allowed some ways around working to help her out, seems like unfair dismissal!!
