What do you do when you aren’t sure how to interpret something or don’t know specific signs for it, and how do you go about that in terms of the other people still signing/talking while you’re mentally behind still trying to process the meaning and interpret it?

I am a couple months away from being done with my Masters in interpreting studies. How do I find a job, the program I am in has been focused on writing a research paper. I feel very clueless about how to get an interpreting a job. And how to actually start.

I’m attending Mt.Sac in a few weeks to start my interpreting journey! I know quite a bit sign but haven’t kept up with it after having my daughter so I am so beyond excited to go to school and immerse myself in the deaf community again. As excited as I am, I am also very nervous. Any perspectives or mindsets I should carry into the is journey with me?

Hi! I love your videos! I am currently an ASL Interpreting student, and i was wondering how do you keep a good work/life balance? How do you go about keeping a clear mind when interpreting for something hard or mentally heavy?

How long do you have to go to school to become an interpreter and how do you get certified? I’m a beginner in ASL and I’m super passionate about it and I’d love to do something with it in the future
