What do you do when you aren’t sure how to interpret something or don’t know specific signs for it, and how do you go about that in terms of the other people still signing/talking while you’re mentally behind still trying to process the meaning and interpret it?

I’m attending Mt.Sac in a few weeks to start my interpreting journey! I know quite a bit sign but haven’t kept up with it after having my daughter so I am so beyond excited to go to school and immerse myself in the deaf community again.
