There’s a dozen reasons a job doesn’t have to be a livable wage. It’s an entry-level job while you build skills It’s a second job It’s a student job It’s a job that simply doesn’t produce enough value to support a full household “What’s the point of working if it’s not a living wage” is a weird take. The point is you get paid for the work you do. Not every job was ever meant to buy you a house, a car, and independence the day you walk in the door. That expectation is the problem, not the wage.
