@houstonchronicle: Tropical Storm Cristobal formed Wednesday over the central subtropical North Atlantic, becoming the third named storm of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season. The National Hurricane Center began issuing advisories on Cristobal after satellite data showed the system had developed a better-defined circulation and winds strong enough to qualify as a tropical storm.
