• How each email account can be recovered • What I want done with each account I’m also checking that my recovery email addresses, phone numbers, and other recovery methods are actually up to date. Because leaving someone your password may not be enough if they can’t get past two-factor authentication or recover the account when something goes wrong. And there’s another piece I’m still figuring out: account recovery is not the same as deciding what should happen to your email after you die. Some providers offer separate legacy, emergency access, or inactive account tools.
