I think part of the point is even biological woman is hard to define because even that exists on a spectrum - from the genitalia all the way down to the chromosomes. Not every woman gives birth, not every woman has periods, not even every woman is born with or has a uterus, so really it’s beyond the biology.

As a 🏳️⚧️human I wish we could just get past all the labels. We are humans. We are diverse. The real issue is misogyny and patriarchy that’s hurting all of us. I agree with all you said and here I am distinctly female (I could have given birth to another human) and male (some but not all of my identity lives here). It’s a very interesting place to live. I grateful. Thanks for your thoughtful content. ❤️

I hear you but the TERFs are using Heritage Foundation talking points to girlboss us into disenfranchisement and they think they’re slaying. They don’t realize that expanding the definition of womanhood is an existential issue when it comes to fighting fascism and that’s why it’s upsetting people who read.

I have trans friends and a trans sister. I think of it this way. Trans women describing womanhood is like hearing a person who grew up deaf describing hearing music for the first time. Does it mean we hear music any less vibrant? No. Does it mean that formerly deaf persons understanding of music deeper then ours? No. Is it a lovely thing to hear these things put into words as a mindfulness exercise? YES. 💕 . You can even branch this by saying if both the formerly deaf person and myself start to learn guitar at the same time, they will likely face more critism of their technique? Yes, because they are learning from a different start point with more things to unpack. Does that demean the hurtful criticism of my guitar journey? No. Does it mean I can understand and empathize with their experience and the fact they will likely face hasher criticism. Yes. 💕 . I think she was trying to describe the good feelings from a meaningful mindfulness exercise but didnt understand it and took it and defending it to a HORRID place.

Women* Biology is already implied in the definition… Let’s not diminish ourselves by adding the “biological” term with it. Notice how many ppl don’t do the same with men… Women have gone through enough, still do. Other than that…. hi, Queen!
