I got you little homie! Had diabetes since I was 8 - 47 now with no complications - A1C is 5.9 and 20/20 vision with NO impairments and LIVIN! Never easy but with technology and the T1D community, you will do great!

I’ve been type 1 since I was 9, 18 years in my eyes are in perfect condition, all my organs are healthy, zero complications plus I gave birth twice to 2 healthy babies, as long as you take care of yourself you’ll be okay !

Keep your sugar levels in range and you should be okay. I made the mistake not taken care of myself for many years now I’m having eye problems I go for laser treatment in 4 weeks it’s my 3rd treatment

Got diagnosed at 8. Didn’t take care of myself from 11-17. I have Diabetic Neuropathy, chronic pain, and chronic fatigue… I’m lucky thats it.

Doctors told me I was TP2 at 19 and that I needed to lose weight and get healthier. Four years later and 154 but my sugars averaged 250-300 no matter what I did. Two weeks ago I ended up in the ER, tested for TP1 and I finally was given insulin. I have been averaging 90-160 but it’s a lil too late cuz I have diabetic neuropathy and currently an A1C of 11
