I am all for vaccines, my kids were fully vaccinated and believe that kids and adults should be vaccinated, but we can not deny that the contradictions during COVID has not lead to more skepticism and mistrust.

My husband had measles as a kid before vaccines and it caused his mom to have a miscarriage. She became a huge proponent of vaccines as PTA president when the measles vaccine came out.

I have Cystic Fibrosis just turned 33 even in the 90s it wasn't about saving us it was just do enough to limit our suffering as much as possible. It wasn't until about 25ish yrs ago they started trying to treat the CF instead of just the symptoms. i was severely immunocompromislzed even getting the flu vaccine would put me in the hospital when i was a child but they still insisted I get it every yr because getting the actual Flu would have been worse. If the chicken pox vaccine had been out at the time i guarantee I would have gotten that one too. I actually caught chicken pox while in the hospital right before I was able to go home and they ended up keeping me thru it just to be safe.

I remember my grandfather had a stroke in the 1960s. they just put him in a bed. no rehab no physical therapy nothing. just lay there till you die

There is a whole ass generation of deaf people that were born in the 50’s and early 60’s that didn’t have a measles vaccine available… and went deaf from contracting measles. I wish people weren’t so freaking stupid.
