illinois isnt on the list only because everything south of I80 brings down the average. when i go to a tourist spot. im shocked the the prices are lower than i pay for a drink/restaurant in the Chicago suburbs

I moved to Florida from California and food and healthcare and auto insurance are way higher so it's kinda strange yes my house was about the same except in Florida I had three amenity centers I had to add in my neighborhood one was called an hoa.

You're right, California hates New York.... when we think about it 🤔 😂😂😂. Californians are our own worst enemies. A huge majority vote for morons & ballot issues that are $$$ & the elected morons are thieves. taxpayers moving away 😳 but morons deny it... ie Newsom

We live in Maine 😭 can confirm price of living is expensive. 3-4 grand is just property tax average. The winters ruin the underside of vehicles so on top of normal expenses your vehicle will always be worked on. Groceries is insane, knowing everywhere it went up but in Maine almost all products has to be brought by a truck or cargo ship going out of way. To live comfortably in Maine my opinion you need 7-10 grand a month. Which with no job market really that’s hard.

I could see why Alaska is expensive due to having to basically ship everything in due to the climate. Same with Hawaii - everything has to be shipped in.
