@drdavidmorris: Why does your back hurt more after doing core exercises? Back pain, core strength, deep core muscles, spinal stability, multifidus activation, transverse abdominis function, physical therapy, movement patterns, posture, and functional medicine all play important roles in how the body supports the spine. Many people assume that more core exercises automatically lead to less back pain. However, some movement specialists look beyond strength alone. They evaluate whether stabilizing muscles are activating and coordinating properly before movement occurs. In some cases, improving movement quality and stabilization patterns may be just as important as building strength. That's why some individuals continue experiencing discomfort despite consistently performing traditional core workouts. 👉If your back pain isn't improving, consider discussing movement assessments and stabilization patterns with a qualified healthcare professional. 💬What's the one exercise you've been doing the longest for your back? #BackPain #CoreStrength #PhysicalTherapy #SpinalHealth #MovementHealth #FunctionalMedicine #HealthTok #murfreesboro #functionalmedicine #magnoliamedicalcenter #rootcause #fyp #viral

Any tips for someone whose hypermobile. I had piriformis syndrome for 1.5 years 4 years ago which has since gotten better, but it created severe SI joint pain on the right (sometimes the left) and this has been my life for the last 2.5 years. Pain. All the time. Im taking ibuprofen x2 twice a day everyday or I cant function and thats absolutely awful for me. Im scared ill stroke out at this point.

You have to work your way up to dead bugs and leg raises. Most people don’t know how to activate their abs and keep their spine parallel to the floor. Your back shouldn’t be bent and you should be shaking during the ab workout lol

try Good Mornings. standing or seated, 20-30 a day. and don't forget to stretch: hams, glutes, calves, and piriformis

What do you think of Pilates? I feel like it almost overtrained those inner muscles and then you can get out of balance that way too.
