A realtor talked my brand spanking new 18 year old into getting a credit card when she went to look at a rental. She told her it was the only way to buy a house in the future. 😳 She didn't explain anything else to her.

We qualified for 300k we bought 180k. When hubby asked why I said because I dont want to spend my days trying to keep all that house clean. 180k was much more manageable money wise and time wise

Ok- hear me out- in 2005 we had a 5,000 sq ft all brick, 2 story home built- it was cheaper than a smaller home by a different builder. At $249k here in Texas it was a steal- pd it off 12 years early and now this house is worth over 700k. It was a good investment and we will leave this home to my only son so he won’t have a mortgage

we put 600.00 in our saving a month before our bills are payed. we pay our selfs first! it has saved us many times over. our one car is almost payed off. only reason we have a second car payment is because we got sick of putting money in a car that would not run day after day. that car is a 98. it was time to up grade.

I had my car paid off til I had an accident and in Covid they totalled it so 6 months I'll finally be car note free again. I track all my spending and I'll never be mortgage poor. I'm at 2.75 %
