okay I got two questions. 1. where do you get such a large jar that will hold two bottles of the alcohol?. 2. I got those beans and you said to get the rum that has the octopus on it correct? oops I guess three questions one ounce of beans to one cup of alcohol?

Following your recipe, yesterday my extract using the loose cut Comoros beans and K spiced rum was ready for use, 12 months. I made a pound cake and it was absolutely delicious. I cut slices and gave it all away to friends and neighbors. I got so many compliments and asking me what did I use. Thank you for the recipe.

If the vanilla beans are supposed to be covered, once you start using it in a year or so, are they going to stay good because they’re already soaked full of alcohol or do you need to take them out and cut them up?
