recap in Georgia (pt. 1): saw mountains (lots of mountains), visited a monastery near the Russian border, met monks for the first time, and received an icon from a lovely nun for being Orthodox and Brazilian. I understand almost no Georgian, but according to my friends here, she also said I was handsome (an event worthy of remembrance, as Virgil would say!)… if I’ve ever had an unhappy day, I don’t remember it.
