@massoyanjewelers: Three of six prongs had worn out and let go. The stone slipped away to the cushions below. The cleaning lady found it and gave it right back. That’s a level of honest most people lack. Retipping is faster, but it won’t hold as long, so the head came off whole and a new one went on strong. I soldered, cut seats, gave the inside a shine, then sprang all six prongs.
