There’s a parking lot where you could actually pay to park THE WHOLE DAY—The primary designated long-term public parking lot in downtown Oregon City is the Municipal Parking Lot located at 1220 Main Street. The flat-rate fee is $5 for the whole day, and the payment kiosk accepts coins, $1 or $5 bills, and credit cards.

We went to eat at a restaurant on Main Street and when we were walking back to our truck, we see the code enforcement next to it about to give us a ticket. We ask what he’s doing and he says we need to pay to park. I walked over and pointed to the VISIBLE receipt on our windshield (where it says to put it on the back of receipt). He literally shrugged and said

They’re terrible here. I live in OC and in a community where parking is limited. Code enforcement literally banks on our community. They come here like clockwork giving residents tickets. I hate them

Literally so easy to not get a ticket. Pay for all day parking if you need all day 💀 you don’t have to go every two hours. Also they have a mobile app. Two tickets a minute apart is crazy though

A minute a part? If you pay for parking every two hours, there needs to be at least two hours in between tickets (but really it should be one visible ticket a day)

Thank you for sharing! As a fellow OC resident, who tries to spend time downtown frequenting local businesses, this is SO disappointing and frustrating to hear. I find that the parking downtown is already abysmal, which deters business as it is, but this is WILD.

My car got towed from behind a bar years ago, I thought the parking lot was the bars parking lot. I would have much rathered a ticket than having to bail my car out of jail after parking at a business that was closed 😂

Every time I pay at one of the coin meters, I grab a handful of change and add nickels and dimes to the other meters. OC code enforcement literally has nothing better to do than patrol main st. Meanwhile there are homes with code violations for years and they do nothinggggg

Send in payment with a letter and a lot of times they will send you a check with the reduced amount. I do it a lot. I work in the Pearl. I can’t even get a working parking pass. They don’t offer it. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
