@gigaqian: Today is August 12, 2026 Elon Musk’s SpaceXAI just launched Grok Bot, but the most interesting part isn’t simply that it can create AI workers. Each user gets a dedicated cloud computer shared across their Grok Bots. Those Bots can have different jobs, pass work between each other, create new long-lived Bots, and even run on different underlying models over time. That leads to a much bigger idea: your future “job” may not be one AI model or one agent. It could be a persistent cloud computer that accumulates tools, context, responsibilities, and increasingly capable AI workers. That’s my interpretation, not an xAI claim, but Grok Bot gives us a fascinating look at what that architecture could become. #grok #ainews #futureofwork #elonmusk #gigaqian

I've persuaded my office (surveying) to let me build an Ai in-house server. I intend to run it like the/a business with directors, managers and workers and a hierarchical system of escalation, delegation and a final QC stage (we use quality control a lot in surveying, seems sensible to incorporate it into this system). Still shopping for the right LLM's/tools for the setup tho! (And the PC will cost circa £35k). Fun times ahead. If you don't want your job to be taken by Ai, get ahead of the game and become the company ai guy!

The key is defining the breaker. When to pull the switch for human review. This sounds cool until you work with these models in a shared context. They all get confused, quickly.

cool. that will eliminate a lot of lower level/ entry level employees. I am just trying to figure out what's going to happen in 20 years. when all the senior employees retire. Will the AI workers understand the company culture and it's raison d'etre?

Yes, as long as you own everything that's in the computer and is portable/transferable. Even if it's a virtual computer.
