@ari.kissick: Recently had a c section? Here’s what to expect in the first 6 weeks 👇🏼 Week 0–1: Protect & Recover • Prioritize rest and healing. • Practice diaphragmatic breathing to reconnect with your core. • Take short, frequent walks around the house. • Learn how to safely get in and out of bed (log roll). • Support your incision when coughing, sneezing, or laughing. • Focus on hydration, nutrition, and pain management. Week 1–2: Gentle Reconnection • Continue daily walking, gradually increasing distance. • Begin gentle pelvic floor awareness and relaxation. • Introduce scar desensitization • Work on standing tall and improving posture. • Add gentle mobility exercises for your hips, ankles, and upper back. Week 2–4: Restore Movement • Increase walking tolerance as comfortable • Begin gentle core activation without breath holding. • Continue scar mobility work around incision (if fully healed). • Improve rib cage and pelvic mobility. • Practice functional movements like sit-to-stands and reaching with good core control Week 4–6: Build Foundation • Progress core stability exercises. • Add gentle bodyweight strengthening for the hips, glutes, and upper body. • Continue improving posture and movement mechanics. • Increase endurance with longer walks 20-30 minutes • Prepare for a gradual return to exercise after medical clearance • Once cleared start scar massaging #csection #csectionrecovery #postpartum #csectionscar #csectionmom

hiii!! thanks for your video.. I am 9 weeks ... I feel very scared for delivery.. every day I try not to think about it .. to deal with it later but I will prepare with exercises.. I wanted to ask. I really am interested in c section asleep.. I don't mind being asleep and then being woken up I'm fine so far with anesthesia.. what would you say to someone like me trying to see what options are there... I don't want epidural or spinal tap either so thought just knock me to sleep

Do you have any tips on your mental state after a c section? First time mom here and also c section mom here. Had one Wednesday and it is now Friday. Everytime I look in the mirror I have emotional breakdowns because I feel like I lost myself. I have been a fitness girly for majority of my childhood up until now. Ate healthy and lifted throughout my entire pregnancy to strengthen my body for labor. Did all the things to prevent any medical interventions necessary. My labor and delivery went from aligning with my birth plan (natural birth) to switching within seconds to the complete opposite (medical birth and c section). It was extremely traumatic. My baby came out blue and not breathing. Thankfully the medical team was amazing and got her what she needed and she’s now healthy. I passed out during my c section and needed oxygen and was petrified the second they told me I needed one. It has been so rough and I feel like it’s going to be impossible to even get even close to where I was body composition wise bc now I have an incision on my lower stomach. I’m in so much pain right now 3 days post op and I feel like I’ll never get my strength back.

It’s insane how our bodies recover from growing and birthing a literal human. I was out getting a 2 mile walk & light gym session in by day 4. I was aching at the end of the day but I did it and enjoyed it 😭🩷
