FOR ANYONE THAT NEEDS MOSQUITO HELP!! Instead of candles and sprays I’ve been using citronella incense sticks, and they work so much better. I’m a native Floridian, in Tampa, and it’s been a lifesaver!

As a Brazilian and having had dengue twice, please do NOT take aspirin or ibuprofen for pain control if you have dengue, they fuck up your blood coagulation and it's DANGEROUS with dengue, makes you hemorragic. You can ONLY take paracetamol on dengue cases. Standing water is the enemy: to erradicate the mosquitos you need to ELIMINATE standing water from your property, you and your neighbours, so this is most definitely a collective action. Little patches like plant vase plates, littering, that collect standing water must be eliminated. Stay safe, people! ❤️

I have had it. One of the symptoms is blotches. These blotches are harder to detect on darker skin. I had to diagnose myself and self-advocate bc the ER doc totally dismissed me. My primary care doc tested for the antibodies confirming the diagnosis. Just FYI. Every patient should be taken seriously.

I live in Argentina, where we have dengue outbreaks and local cases of dengue, especially in the north. 2024 was a really bad year, with cases multiplying every day, and the vaccine became available. We all got vaccinated to protect against the more severe forms and prevent complications, and it was the best thing we ever did. 2025 and 2026 have been A LOT better in terms of outbreaks. I saw friends going trough dengue and it was terrible

I worked with mosquitoes and the number one thing I will tell you all is this: EMPTY WATER HOLDERS. That’s tires, bird baths, miscellaneous trash and metal pieces, gutters, flowerpots, things that can hold any amount of water. If you can’t move it, then either break it or poke holes in it. If you have a pond, contact your local government branch of mosquito control and inquire about mosquitofish.

In my country, we suffer every summer because many people don’t take proper care of their yards and allow stagnant water to accumulate. I’ve had dengue twice, and it’s awful the fever takes everything out of you. Please everyone take care. 🙏🏻
